A Grand Opening to Remember!


CCWF Vice President, Attorney Carolyn Cronkhite (Red sweater, above) kicked off the re-location of her law office to Plainville, Connecticut with a grand opening party. CCWF members were impressed!

interests with savvy and vigor. Attorney Cronkhite focuses
on personal injury cases, business disputes and family law.
Located in Plainville, the geographic center of Connecticut,
she is an Attorney Trial Referee in both the Hartford and
New Britain Superior Court systems.

CCWF Welcomes Dr. Jack Hauser


Dr. Jack Hauser, President of Connecticut Weight and Wellness kicked off the January 15, 2008 dinner meeting. CCWF President Shirley Bloethe reminded members that the theme of 2008 is for each member to bring a friend to a CCWF meeting with the goal of expanding the membership to 208 in 2008.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!


Thanks for being a member of Central Connecticut Women’s Forum last year. Each member is a valued addition to our group.

Our Mission Statement below reflects the overall focus of our organization.

CCWF Mission Statement:
Central Connecticut Women’s Forum is a not-for-profit organization of professional and business women founded in 1984.

CCWF's purpose is to:
*Serve as a support and resource system for professional and business women.
*Provide a forum in which women serve as tangible resources for one another by sharing experiences and insights.
*Reinforce the positive perception and image of women as equal partners in the work force
The leadership team is putting together a format of speakers and events for the coming year toEnhance, uplift, teach and bring information to our membership at all of our monthly meetings. If you have suggestions and requests I will forward them to the person in charge in each chapter. Our calendar is filling up.
January is dues month. PLEASE pay either by check (at meeting is great also) or PayPal.
There is a link to renewals on our website for easy access.
We are keeping the cost of $50 for 2008.
North Chapter meets Jan 9th (next Wed) and Central chapter meets the following week on Jan 15 Tuesday. Please contact Cindy or Jane if you are attending the meetings this month. Hope to see you soon, and again I wish you a most Happy and Joyous New Year.

Oh What a Night!


The Central CT Women’s Forum networking group hosted a SUPER NETWORKING EVENT on Wednesday--Dec 5, 2007. The event was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cromwell (right off Rt 9 or I-91) on Rt 372. We had 150 people fill the room. The night included an outstanding buffet! A table was available for business cards! We had Janet Peckinpaugh as our celebrity guest speaker, Joan Dylan--DJ from 100.5 FM , Anne Kissel - "Roseanne Barr" Tribute Artist - Standup Comic and 20 members of the Sound of New England Chorus.

Thank you all for coming! It was nice to put names to faces with our guests. If you were a guest last night, you are added to the email list of guests that gets sent out for the the monthly meetings. If you do not wish to be on this List, please respond in the subject line and I will remove.


Coming Up Soon!
Our next meeting is in East Windsor, for the North Chapter on Sept 5, 2007. Karen Hinds will be the speaker, and her topic is “Building Strategic Alliances”.

The Central Chapter meets on September 18, 2007 in Plainville. Our speaker is Attorney Carolyn Cronkhite. Her topic is “Be your best Advocate”.

If you are a guest and want to join the cost is $30 for the rest of this year.
(Yearly dues are $50-due each January).

ALSO—The December meeting will be with other networks, a special CELEBRITY GUEST, and special location. Feel free to contact me or the coordinators if you need further information.

Making Connections


Our CCWF Summer Picnic at Harbor Park in Middletown on the shore of the Connecticut River was a night to remember!

What a fantastic evening.
The weather was perfect.
The food was terrific and there was plenty of it.
Women were connecting, networking and telling stories-we had 10 first time visitors!

August --- Tuesday Aug. 14, 2007—5:30pm--??? Summer Gathering--Joint meeting with North Chapter--Harbor Park—Middletown— Free kayak rides for members and guests courtesy of Shirley Bloethe---owner of Harbor Park Boat Rentals.
Food will be Pot Luck, and $5 per person to attend.
Tuesday Aug. 14, 2007 This facility is outdoors and will be rescheduled in the event of rain—reservations are requested.
